I decided to locate my photo-shoot in my models bedroom using natural lighting. The room had plain light grey walls which helped create a simple background which I could simply remove on Photoshop if I wanted too. The room also had several windows which helped create the natural lighting effect as the photo-shoot was taken at midday. I decided to locate my photo-shoot in my models bedroom and not in a studio with professional studio lights because my model is around the same age as my target audience, therefore I wanted my target audience to be able to relate to the images. Therefore using a plain wall and natural lighting is something that my target audience could easily create. In this case, it helps make my artist a role model for my target audience because they will be able to relate to the images. Even though I used natural lighting instead of studio lights, the final products still have a professional effect because the lighting was bright and the pictures came out focused. The use of a bedroom as my location also helped me create shadow effects in the background when I placed my model in front of the window. I also decided to not use a location shot because I wanted my backgrounds to be plain so my target audience would focus on my model and not the background.
